Every month we showcase one of our amazing host families. This month, we are proud to introduce you to The Labatte Family from North Salem, New York; who have been hosting students for the last three years! Wow!

How has hosting a student changed your life?

Hosting international students has given me the chance to enjoy incredible and know amazing Chinese students and learn new customs and traditions.

What was your funniest host parent moment?

I thought it was so cute when another international student came to my house to see one of my girls. He thought he loved her so he took a taxi to see her.

What is the best advice for other host parents?

The best advice from everything I have learned so far is to welcome the students with Christian love but let them know the structure of the family and give them respect for their courage to come so far while still being so young.
