What have you learned as a Homestay Coordinator with Twinn Palms?

I have strengthened my conflict resolution skills working with student and host family relationships.  Each person is different and with that comes a different style of communication.

What was your favorite moment with your students?

It was great to celebrate the end of the school year with these special students.  My favorite moment was last year's graduation because I had two students graduate.  I organized a party to celebrate their huge life goal accomplishment.  What a special occasion!

What do you recommend as the number one “must have” for a host family?

Time.  To me, this is the most necessary component because the students will need this aspect the most and you have to be ready to give it.
