Question 1: How was pre-arrival communication with the student handled to connect and coordinate pick up? Did picking up the student at the airport go smoothly/as planned? Who from the home was at pick up? Any issues with student flight or luggage needing follow up?*

Question 2: Please describe your first impressions of the student: Language, openness, any observations that are similar to your family? Any that you think are different?*
Question 3: What are some ways you plan to engage or “break the ice” with your student to learn more about them, their culture, likes and dislikes, etc? (Ideas: cook/bake together, sight see the area, play a game)*
Question 4: What are some of your expectations of the student living in your home? What are the house rules that were communicated to the student? When you oriented the student and reviewed these, Did they understand your expectations and house rules?*
Question 5: What do you look forward to the most with hosting your student? Is there anything in particular you hope you can share with your student? (this could be an outing or a connecting activity, or sharing special occasion, etc)*
Question 6: Aside from the typical behaviors associated with a student's travel overseas (jet lag, homesickness, etc.), is the student exhibiting any abnormal or unusual behavior? If yes, please explain. Please confirm that student is well and healthy and there are no well being concerns.*
